It’s been awhile since I’ve spoken to my former colleague and friend, Kevin Wong, the co-founder of Immersive Tech. After catching up through severals emails, I had told Kevin that I had been involved more with photography and have been busy developing Brandon David Photographers. Weeks later, Kevin asked me if we would be able to capture an event that is paramount to his non-profit organization. As we discussed the details more over a cup of Joe and learning more about Kevin’s company, Brandon and I gladly accepted.

As the days came closer, we were updated with the dinner location where we would be shooting. It was at Susan Feniger’s Street Restaurant. Neither Brandon nor I have tried out the spot but we’re always up for good food. When we arrived on site, we were the first ones there and we decided to scope out the location. Our first impression was that it was a cozy, eclectic spot that was filled with the scent of good food. We were greeted with a warm welcome by the restaurant’s Special Events Coordinator, Selena Ramirez, and our server for the event, Sara Kuhl. As the evening went by, more guests showed up and until they would open up with welcoming introductions followed by dinner. While dinner was going on, Brandon and I decided to try the food. Amazing is the word that best describes it. We were served 3 appetizers which we thought were all different kinds of the main course. In my opinion, all the food there is so different as where I wouldn’t categorize any of them as starters. We ended the meal with their Thai Rice Noodles, Oven Roasted Asparagus, and the Tatsutage Fried Chicken. What amazed me the most was the Thai Rice Noodles. Being that I am Thai, I am a big critic when it comes to Thai food. This actually did it for me as it was pretty close to my father’s home cooking. After such a hearty meal, we were back to work and having a great time doing so… check out how the night went…
